- Photographs should have been taken from a photo studio within the last 6 months.
- Photos taken from Photo-Me machines shall not be accepted.
- The photographs should be taken from a Full frontal view
- The Image of the applicant should occupy approximately 70–80% of the photograph.
- There should be at least 8 mm–10 mm space at the top of the photo between the edge of the photo and the crown/head.
- The Photographs should be printed on good quality photo paper, preferably matte
- The Photographs should be free from ink marks, dirt, grease, finger prints and paste stains.
- The Applicant’s photograph should show him/her wearing decent attire with collar (no short sleeves/sleeveless/plunging necklines for women).
- Use of eyeglasses is acceptable provided there is no glare from the glasses and the eyes are distinctly shown.
- As much as possible, both ears of the applicant should be visible.
- Use of head scarf for religious or medical reasons is allowed However, the scarf should not cover the eyebrows/eyes.
- The Use of caps or head gear is not allowed.
- The Use of contact lenses for medical reasons is all right provided the contact lenses do not change the applicant’s true eye color.
- The Use of earrings is acceptable for women ONLY provided the earrings are small.
- The Photos must show applicant without red eye
- The photos must be clean and free from any Dirt
- The photos must be of good quality no washed out image/ unnatural skin tone.
- In the case of babies eyes must be open.

- The photographs must be identical and Taken within the past 6 months
- They must show current appearance and must be In colour
- Should be taken from a Full face, front view
- Between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head
- Taken in normal street attire Uniforms should not be worn in photographs except religious attire that is worn daily
- Do not wear a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline
- If you normally wear prescription glasses, a hearing device, wig or similar articles, they should be worn for your picture
- Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons
- Passport photos may be rejected if: There is a visible “red-eye” effect.
- The photo has been retouched or manipulated to alter the appearance of facial features.
