Passport Photo Requirement of Lithuania
Passport photo dimensions : 40mm x 60mm taken so that a 35 x 45 mm rectangle can be cut from it.

- Picture has to be taken so that it can be cut out 35 x 45 mm rectangles.
- If applying for a passport, the photos should be greyscale; however, if they are applying for a temporary travel document then they should be colour.
- The face from the chin to the top of the head should be 70-80 percent of the vertical dimension.
- Distance between the head and top of the photo 2-4 mm, distance from the top of the head to the chin shall be 31-35 mm, distance from the chin to the bottom edge shall be 8-10 mm.
- Face shall be in the same distance from right-hand and left-hand edges.
- Be printed on a high quality thin photo-paper of smooth surface.
- Not have white corners, ink marks, creases, damaged emulsion layer, stains, lines, etc.
- It is recommended that the portrait shall be no more than 6 months old.
- Neutral expression. No unnatural expression, makes faces, is laughing, mouth open, yawning or frowning.
- Hair can not obscure the face.
- The applicant must wear civil clothing, no head cover, no special uniforms except for religious reasons (However, eyes, eyebrows, cheeks, chins must still be clearly visible).
- Glasses should not have tinted nor coloured lenses.
- The frames should not cover any part of the eyes and preferably shall not be heavy.
- Photo shall not display flash reflection on lenses.
- Background must be very bright and monotone.
- No shadows allowed.
- Eyes shall not have reflections, nor red eye effect.
- Face shall not be retouched or tampered using software to change or delete certain facial features or hair colour.
