Passport Photo Requirements of Austria
- Passport photo dimensions : 35mm x 45mm.
- Passport Number of Photos Required : 3
- Passport Background Requirements : light grey background
- Head size less than 36mm, face must be 2/3 of photo.
- Head must be looking straight forward.
- Eye Distance 8mm – 10mm.
- Neutral expression, mouth closed.
- Hair must not cover face.
- Glasses are allowed, but no reflection, must not cover eyes.
- Glasses can be removed for photo.
- head coverings for religous reasons only.
- Childrens photographs eyes must be open.
- If baby’s head needs supporting, hands must not be visible.
- In the case of babies the eyes must be open
Visa Photo Requirements of Austria
- Photo for each visa applicant must be an un mounted, full face photo
- Photo must be taken within the last 6 months, for small children within the last 3 months
- the head (measured from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin) should measure about 30 mm
- the photo must be a full-face front view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly, with closed mouth, without smile.
- The face should cover about 70-80 percent of the photo area.
- The photo must be in colour, made on matte or glossy paper
- In general, the applicant’s head, including both face and hair, should be shown from the crown of the head to the tip of the chin on top and bottom and from hairline side-to-side. It is preferable that ears be exposed.
- Sunglasses or other wear, which detracts from the face, are not acceptable unless required for medical reasons (an eye patch, for example).
A photo depicting a person wearing a traditional facemask or veil that does not permit adequate identification is not acceptable. - Dimensions: 35mm x 45mm.
